I am extremely grateful that I found the Home IV service. It’s made such a difference to be able to have a fully qualified oncology nurse come into your own home and use a port to administer the IV’s. It has been an absolute blessing.There was nowhere close to me that I could easily access IV’s. To get these infusions would involve a lot of travelling and even then I haven’t found anywhere with fully qualified nurses to be able to administer these via my port. Like many people living with a cancer diagnosis, I don’t have good veins and so to be able to get these administered by my port makes such a difference. Dr Jamie Hossack has also arrange prescriptions of off label medication that I require.
